Kevin’s frame has been waiting for its final components for some time now. The suspense came to an end last Monday, when we had an appointment with Kevin at 10am sharp at the workshop.<\/div>\n

Kevin rides a lot. Our first meeting was at the Love Tour 2021. We had opened the doors of the workshop for this occasion, and Kevin was part of the pack. We then met again on the roads, during the Gravignoble in particular (ride organized in the Vosges by the Team Abricot). We are rather, if not completely on the same wavelength when it comes to imagine a weekend by bike: the kms yes, but the breaks too, and the beers, craft beers when it is possible, which go with it.<\/div>\n

This project, intended to accompany Kevin on his long distances, mostly road oriented, presented quite a challenge in terms of geometry design. Kevin has limited angular range in his arms, and the mobility of one of his hands is also limited. So we took all that into account to put Kevin on a cloud: shorter reach, taller stack, longer stem, reduced drop. These choices bring a better distribution of his body weight, a greater stability for less effort of sheathing, with a reactive geometry not to make compromise on the performance of the frame, in particular in climbing, moment that Kevin likes.<\/div>\n

For the delivery, Kevin came on foot. That day, he had taken time off. So he went back on his bike.<\/div>\n

The baptism at the Schnaps fountain went well! I came back with a big smile on my face. It struck me how comfortable I felt right away on the bike. It is undoubtedly due to the customization and the consideration of my morphology on the one hand, but also to the choices of geometry on the other hand. The result is a very healthy behavior of the bike!<\/div>\n
It clearly makes you want to push on the pedals on the way up, its only limit will be the rider’s thighs. I still need to get used to its great responsiveness on the downhill. <\/span><\/div>\n
