The Bananadry is a large fanny pack/handlebar bag that thinks to be a drybag. When you’re traveling, you can use it to safely carry your sleeping bag, your personal belongings, your warm layer, your sun-dried tomato sandwich (watch out for oil stains). The Bananadry is made from a tough 500gr/m2 tarpaulin for the part that attaches to the bike, which is also the area most subject to abrasion. The remainder is made from waterproof, breathable laminates from French manufacturer Alpex’s dead stock. The bag’s design and materials enable it to achieve a very high level of water resistance. The main volume, which can be increased from 4.6L to almost 13L thanks to adjustable straps, is accessible from both sides. To help you remember which side your warm comforter is on, we’ve put a color on the left and one on the right. The front pocket gives you quick access to your phone for selfies at the collar. There are also “MOLLE” fasteners throughout, so you can slip a jacket or tent pegs over the compression straps.

Its stability on handlebars is ensured by three attachment points. A lightweight stainless steel tube, around which the straps run, stiffens the bag and distributes the weight. Depending on the configuration of your riding position (to move the banana away from the handlebars for the passage of hands, or away from the headtube to avoid compressing the housings), a pack of 6 bonus spacers is available as an option. A third-point strap is also available to stabilize your bag in shoulder-belt mode.

The Bananadry is handmade in Strasbourg by the superb Libre Objet team, using truck tarpaulins and technical fabrics from deadstocks. And should you damage your bag, just send it back to the workshop for repair!
