The exchange with Anne-Claire didn’t start at the first meeting of the project. We had crossed paths many times beforehand, because Anne-Claire is one of those inspiring people who are motivated to make and share cycling experiences. In fact, we invited her to the DÉTOUR 03 evening to talk about her forthcoming Strasbourg-Istanbul trip, and more generally about her approach to cycling, both cyclo and ultra. At the event, she talked about her difficulty in finding the right shoe, or rather the right bike, for her body type. Of course, we talked about it again.
A few months later, the project was launched. We’re working with Anne-Claire to design the frame kit that will change the game, enabling her to continue her progress in the ultra-distance field. Discussions with her are enthusiastic, with a shared sense of trust and a smile that’s always there. We feed the design stage with our many experiences and pain points, as well as our aesthetic and personal sensibilities.
Manivelle N°52 was delivered to Anne-Claire a few days before the Hamster Classique, to enable her to take part in this great event with her new partner. She did just that, finishing the 400km, 7000m D+ event in 36 hours.
