Discover Jérôme’s Manivelle N°57!
There are plenty of reasons to be interested in artisanal manufacturing for your next bike, and we’re being completely objective here. The craftsman’s aesthetic universe, his ability to respond precisely to a rich and individual set of specifications, his feedback that feeds the exchange, the mechanical quality of the raw material used, the good taste of the coffee served during the workshop appointments. In addition, framebuilding can also be attractive for its human dimension and its taste for a more responsible production of the ultra-industrialized object that is the bicycle.
Jérôme loves cycling. He rides both road and mountain bikes, commutes to work as often as possible and dreams of travelling, always by bike. But it was also out of conviction and commitment that he decided to knock on our door. The first time we spoke on the phone, we started by talking about amap, local associations and human relationships.
Jérôme’s Manivelle N°57 has been designed to take him far, as well as for everyday use. A comfortable little bomb, playful and low trail geometry, versatile and capable of carrying a full load for several days on its own. Jérôme has an appointment this morning, February 26, to see his custom-built project, after visiting us a few weeks ago when the bike was being built. Jérôme is there early, his Manivelle at the back of the workshop, under a sheet. He’s a great pleasure to talk to, and we exchange views on our respective professions, in different fields but which lead us to similar observations. We also talk about orientation, reminisce about our choices and non-choices, and retrace in a flash what led us to become independent framebuilders today.
Jérôme has a sandwich in his bag and a plan in mind for the rest of the day. He’ll spend the rest of his time on the trails, prolonging the encounter with his new bike. So it’s time to unveil his Manivelle. What a good time! What remains of intense delivery after delivery!
We can’t wait to see you, with a smile still on your face, come back to the workshop to tell us about your first memories with your N°57. Happy trails to you Jérôme!
