The bicycle hides many facets that push us to pedal as soon as the opportunity arises: the autonomy it allows us when we travel, the freedom it offers us in our choice of tracks and destinations, the link social that it creates when the road of two cyclists cross, among other things. Or the distance it allows to cover. Each practitioner has their favorite facet, and when it comes to distance, the limits keep being pushed with the advent of ultra-distance practice.
Martin is one of those enthusiasts whom distance titillates and motivates. It becomes a driving force to progress both physically and mentally, and that’s all the beauty, the difficulty, of ultra-distance.
Engaged in the Transpyrénées 2021 organized at the end of June by transiberica, Martin came to see us at the end of 2020 for the realization of his new mount. A specification resolutely oriented towards road and long distance, with a weight under 10kgs in sight.
We are very happy to present the result to you today. With a Columbus Life frame, a carbon fork from Columbus as well, a ride from Hunt, and a complete ultegra transmission, the bike comes out at 9.8kgs, rear rack included.
The day after delivery, Martin was already riding his first 250kms on his TOMI # 16: “I spent 6:30 in the saddle, and I loved it!”
We will follow Martin’s adventure on the Transpyrenees and share his news on the race with you.
Have a good trip Martin!
