Discover Marc’s Manivelle N°60!

We’re more or less talkative, depending on the subject under discussion, the person we’re talking to, our true or false impression that we know something about a topic, or that we have a personal experience to share, at best. Marc is not a talkative person. But when the question seems relevant, the words come out and are precise and decisive. So we were able to move forward with confidence, finally delivering an anniversary issue (N°60!) for which Marc gave us a great deal of freedom.

The specifications for this project correspond to what our customers most frequently ask us for: geometry geared towards long-distance road and trail riding, pedaling comfort, and the versatility of possible loading configurations. So we put together a whole package of solutions developed in previous custom Manivelle, as if to take advantage of this N°60 to step back and take stock of what’s left.

On a more personal level, this project respects Marc’s sensibility, particularly in terms of his relationship with the objects that surround him and enable him to live out his adventures. Marc likes technology that helps. To keep warm, to stay dry, to protect him from cars, to feel good on his bike. He doesn’t like technologies that complicate things. For example, he wants to go back to the map for navigation, and the front bag that will be made for this bike will have that nice little transparent map pocket that we like so much to see on the bikes we meet on our travels.

If Marc is going for more than a day’s ride, there are several configurations to choose from. Minimalist pannier racks (for luggage of around 10L) are fitted to the forks of the Truss fork, which can also be fitted with cargo cages. The rear rack can be loaded with a tent or drybag (16L) on top, and additional rear panniers (20L) if the trip takes on the long haul. An integral (and separable) frame bag is also planned to complete the modularity of the load.

Marc, we can’t wait to see you back at the workshop, toothbrush and lunch already in the bags, ready to feed your memories.

Thank you for your confidence, and have a great trip!
